60 YEARS OF SCHOLARSHIPS

The Society awarded its first scholarship in 1959 and continues to grant scholarships for the purpose of post-graduate study or research to British and Danish students. This year awards for studies in 2020-21 will be made to 10 postgraduate students for study in the other country. Of these awards, 7 are general and are not limited to any specific subject, while 3 are restricted: the Ove Arup Foundation award is for a student working in the field of the 'Built Environment', the William Charnley Anglo-Danish Scholarship is for a student taking an MPhil, MASt or LLM at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge and the ACE Foundation award is for a British student working in either architecture, design, art or music.

HRH The Duchess of Gloucester is the Protector of the Scholarship Programme and we are a registered charity (No 313202).

We are entirely staffed by volunteers and rely on donations to fund the Scholarship Programme. For information on how you can help us continue this work please see the Support Our Scholars Appeal >
