Comparing the Polar heroes - 26 May 6pm 2022

 

The Anglo-Norse Society is pleased to invite members of the Anglo-Danish Society to the following event:
A talk by Olav Orheim, former Director of the Norwegian Polar Institute “Comparing the polar heroes – as leaders and as men (particularly Scott, Amundsen and Shackleton)”. In light of the recent discovery of Shackleton’s ship ‘Endurance’, this talk is particularly timely.
Time: Thursday 26 May, 6.00 for 6.45pm
Place: The Norwegian Church, 1 St Olav’s Square, Rotherhithe, London. SE16 7JB Nearest station: Canada Water (Jubilee Line & Overground)

Please also note that Olav Orheim’s talk will be preceded by a short AGM. Anyone may attend, but voting is restricted to members of the Anglo-Norse Society.
