City Buildings Past and Present - A Guided Walk 15 June 11am

When: Wednesday 15 June 2021 from 11am - 12.45pm

Where: Meet at St Paul's Underground Station Café Nero

Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions the date has changed from 10 March to 14 April and finally to 15 June!

On this guided walk through City we will hear about Wren, Hawksmoor, Horace Jones and today’s ‘starchitects’ and their City buildings. We will see beautiful churches, a market from the past, Medieval alleyways, hidden gardens and exciting architecture spanning many centuries from Roman, Saxon and Viking times. The City is forever changing, with stunning new landmarks appearing all the time and these buildings of the future are a major focus of our walk through the financial heart of London. We will finish our tour near Sky Garden which is on top of 'The Walkie-Talkie' from where you can see ‘All that London has to offer’. Afterwards, you can chose to have an optional lunch at a nearby pub, or you may choose to be ‘atop of town’ for a drink or a meal in Sky Garden. Possibly in small groups if such is the Covid-19 advice in April! Price: £10 Members / £12 Non-members
