When: Tuesday 11 June 2019 @ 2pm
Where: Fulham Palace,Bishop's Ave, Fulham, London SW6 6EA
During our exclusive guided tour we will hear of the rich and varied history of Fulham Palace, since Tudor times the Bishop of London's country home. In fact, the site was occupied by the Bishops from about 700 until Bishop Stopford retired in 1975.
The building is vast and a colourful mixture of styles and periods. What survives is a Tudor manor house with elegant Georgian additions and an ornate Victorian chapel.
Immediately following the tour, we will enjoy a traditional cream tea in the Cafe drawing room overlooking the gardens.
The beautiful 13 acre botanical garden, including a restored Walled Garden is now protected as an important historic landscape. Our tour concentrates on the Palace but it is possible to visit the gardens independently in your own time.
