Chipping Barnet Library will be hosting an evening with Heidi Amsinck, Lone Theils & Lotte Petri, moderated by Anne Grydehøj, talking about all things Danish: Nordic Noir, crime, thriller and culture.
- Heidi Amsinck is a writer and journalist and has in the past covered Britain for the Danish press. She has written numerous short stories for radio and she was previously shortlisted for the VS Pritchett Memorial Prize.
- Lotte Petri has written seven crime novels and two novellas. She has been shortlisted as one of the 10 best crime authors in Denmark, featuring alongside names such as Jussi A. Olsen.
- Lone Theils is a former London-correspondent for national Danish newspapers Berlingske Tidende and Politiken. Her 2015 debut novel Fatal Crossing has been sold in 16 countries and she now is a full-time author.
- Anne Grydehøj works in the Department of Scandinavian Studies at University College London and is the author of articles on crime fiction, intercultural mediation and representations of Scandinavia.
The talk will cover Heidi, Lotte & Lone’s books, and what inspires them to write such gripping stories, followed by a ten-minute Q&A session with a mystery prize for the best question.
