The Anglo-Danish Society exists to promote closer understanding between the United Kingdom and Denmark by arranging lectures, outings, social gatherings and other events of interest to its members and their guests.

The Society enjoys the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen and Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark. It also has the active support of the Royal Danish Embassy and a number of Danish and British companies.

The Society administers scholarship funds which help Danish students to visit the UK or British students to visit Denmark for the purpose of advanced or post-graduate studies.

The Society welcomes applications for membership.

LYNDON JENKINS - writer, lecturer and broadcaster

This event is organised jointly with Danish women in England - we'll have lunch and a talk by Lyndon Jenkins, who has a special interest in Scandinavian composers, and who was the first person to broadcast a programme entirely in English on Danmark's Radio. Click heading for more details.
