The ADS and other of the
UK-EU Societies are delighted to present a Concert with a European theme to celebrate
the New Year. Taking part will be selected students from the Royal College of
Music, who are all on the threshhold of their professional careers. The
programme will include music by Haydn, to mark the 200th anniversary
of the composer’s death, and fittingly Benjamin Britten, as well as soloists
and singers who will perform arias from well-loved operas. We hope also to
include a little jazz to widen the appeal of the evening.
The Britten Theatre seats 400, and is an intimate and comfortable venue with excellent acoustics. There will be an interval during the concert, when an included glass of wine or soft drink will be served.
Tickets:
GBP20 for seats in the Stalls, Stalls Circle and Dess Circle
GBP10 for seats in the Upper Circle.
