On Friday, 31 October at 2.00pm we’re
going back to school ! To the very
special Harrow School
– founded in 1572 by John Lyon, a yeoman farmer from the visit of Preston in Harrow to provide education for boys from the local
community. We’ll learn about school
life in the early days, how it has changed over the years, we’ll hear stories
of some of the School’s famous “old boys”, such as Winston Churchill, and the
visit will include many of the historic and beautiful rooms, such as – the
Fourth Form Room, the Old Speech Room Art Gallery, Chapel, Museum of Harrow
Life, the Alex Fitch Room, the Sports Centre, and the Vaughan Library.
After this specially guided ADS tour,
lasting about one-and-half hours, we’ll relax over a full English tea in the
Masters’ Dining Room. Detailed
information on how to reach the School, by either train, tube or bus, will be
sent to those registering for the visit.
