THE OVE ARUP FOUNDATION AWARD 2006-07
With this report I would like to thank you for the support for my Master of Science degree in Supply Engineering and Logistics at the University of Warwick.
The degree course in England has been costly, and the support from the Anglo-Danish Society has been a great help in undertaking the degree.
By now I have successfully completed my master degree from the University of Warwick. During the degree course I have improved my knowledge about supply chain management and logistics. Furthermore, I have gained knowledge about finance and economics. At the end of the degree course I completed a dissertation about the use of performance management in reduction of uncertainty in supply chains. The degree also improved my general academic capabilities since the way of studying at the University of Warwick is significantly different from the way of studying at the University of Aalborg, Denmark.
Besides the improvements of my academic capabilities, the stay in England gave me insight in many different cultures and nationalities. Besides the insight into English culture and the society this includes countries like, India, China, Mexico, and other European countries. This insight was a result of the University of Warwick's many international students. Especially classes with Asians have improved my skills in cooperation with people with cultural backgrounds that are very different from the European. Lastly, the stay in England has improved my language skills in both reading, writing, and speaking.
All in all my stay in England has been a positive experience, and I hope that you will continue to support Danish students who wish to study in England, as well as English students going to study in Denmark.
Again, thank you for the support to my degree at Warwick.
