ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & DINNER
Tuesday 28 April 2009 at 6.30pm
Danish Church Hall, London
The AGM is the occasion when Council reports to the Society's Members on what it has been doing in the past year, including the scholarships awarded, so that Members have the opportunity to put questions and suggestions forward on what they would like to see happening in their society.
During Dinner we're delighted that A-DS Member, Alan Spink - who has just translated into English his father's book "Forty Years On" - has agreed to give us some insights into how Denmark interacted with England during the WW2.
Much of this related to Reginald Spink's experiences in the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the Political Warfare Executive (PWE); how Danish volunteers were able to become part of the british Army; and occasions when the Anglo-Danish Society and the Danish Club were settings for important meetings.
To reserve a place for the AGM/Dinner please send your booking (name, address, contact details) with your cheque - GBP22 for members, GBP24 for non-members - to the Anglo-Danish Society, 43 Maresfield Gardens, London NW3 5TF, by 21 April 2009.
