We'll meet at Sotheby's, 34-35 New Bond Street, W1A 2AA at 11am on Sunday morning, 30 May 2010 to have a preview of their Scandinavian Sale which will be on Thursday 3 June 2010. One of Sotheby's knowledgeable staff will tell us about the works of art in the Sale. Click heading for details.

This is the occasion when Council reports to the ADS members on what it has been doing in the past year, including the scholarships awarded. Members have the opportunity to put questions and suggestions forward on what they would like to see happening in their Society.

ACROSS THE NORTH SEA CONFERENCE
Subtitled "Later Historical Archaeology in Britain and Denmark 1500-200 AD" it was organised by the City Museums of Odense and Copenhagen, the University of Southern Denmark and the British based Society for Post Medieval Archaeology (SPMA).

Cultural Connections CC was founded in 1998 by Birthe Fraser to promote Danish-Nordic Applied Arts in the UK. Her main annual exhibition in London is now at the Saatchi Gallery, but she recently had her fifth show of ceramic works at Barn Galleries near Henley-on-Thames, an idyllic country setting.
WEEKEND IN YORK
We have arranged an exciting weekend visit to the cathedral city of York, with a gala dinner on Saturday evening.
